Dr. Pasten earned her B.A. from Stanford in 1970, and her D.V.M. in 1974 from U.C. Davis. She completed her internship at Cornell University in 1975. She has since published over 200 articles, including The Morris Report, Veterinary Economics, and Veterinary Forum
She was, for nine years, the private veterinarian for celebrity, “Morris the Cat” – taking care of all NINE LIVES! She is also a celebrity in her own right, with a monthly 1 hour radio show on KVMR. She is also the spokesperson for American Veterinary Medical Association for media presentations.
She is active in several veterinary associations – including participating on the Ethics Committee, PR Committee, and AVMA Pet Disaster Aid Committee, in addition to being a CVMA Delegate, where she has served on the Board of Directors.
She has received the Worlds Who’s Who of Women 1992-present) as well as the “Women of the Decade Award” from the American Biographical Institute.
